The Project Structure
The project consists of 11 work packages (WPs) and categorized under three major strands. The Strands are as follows:
Strand 1: User Engagement and Forecast Evaluation
WP-R1 User needs, co-production and communication; and
WP-R2: Forecast evaluation.
Strand 2: Physical science research
WP-R3: Satellite remote sensing;
WP-R4: Nowcasting methods (0-6h);
WP-R5: Synoptic methods, 0-120h;
WP-R6: Sub-seasonal to Seasonal (S2S) Prediction; and
WP-R7 Convection-permitting (CP) ensemble forecasting.
Strand 3: Knowledge exchange, training and documentation
WP-C1: Operational training and university programmes;
WP-C2: Weather forecasting testbeds;
WP-M1: Management; and
WP-M2: Legacy.
