The need for improved understanding/ prediction of the climate system, provision and use of climate information to increase resilience in vulnerable sectors of society and economy is recognized as a major challenge in the process to combat climate change.

The SAWIDRA Project builds capacity of Regional Centresto provide weather services for Disaster Risk Management.

The Policy Dialogue Day on the Disaster Resilience for adaptation to Climate Change in Africa held from 28 January 2019 in Niamey-Niger.

About 60 people are expected to attendincluding high level officials and international organizations in Niger.
